The Patriot Guard Formed From The Kansas ALR

ALR Praised For Action

Note: The Riders that started interfering with the WBC protests have formed a group called The Patriot Guard, which consists of riders who espouse their tenets of showing sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities; and shielding the mourning family and friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors through strictly legal and non-violent means. The founding group of riders have a website at www.kspatriotguard.org . You can join them there.

A separate group has organized this mission nationally, using the same name. You can reach them at www.patriotguard.org

I would like to send a personal thanks to the American Legion Riders who attended SSGT John Doles' Funeral in Chelsea, Ok. to aid in disrupting a disgusting group of protestors. If there is someone in particular to send it to or if you could forward it to the proper person in Chelsea area it would be greatly appreciated. I not only thank them for myself but I know I can speak for my son who is a brother paratrooper currently in Afghanistan and was considered John's "Tag Team Partner" when they were clearing houses in Iraq.

Thank you and God Bless America.

WELL DONE! Please pass my compliments to the riders involved in covering SSGT Doles' funeral.

If it can't be Bagpipes, then I think the roar of the motorcycle is excellent "music" to announce the lifting of a warrior's spirit to Heaven.

Ya'll did Outstanding!

Being a member of the US Airfoce and stationed here at Tinker Air Force Base, just wanted to send a big thank you to and to the individuals involved in the Chesea, OK Funeral in drowning out the Anti Military Protesters from Kansas.

The group returned this morning to protest at a church in OKC, OK, and the bike turn out was an awsome site to see. The bikes were practically drowning out the protesters. Its really great to know that even when there are sick people out there to protest things like "Thank God For Dead Soldiers" signs that we still have individuals such as your self on our side.

Again, thank you for all your support for the Military.

Dear ALR,

I salute you on a job well done at SSG Dole's funeral. My father has kept me abreast on all of the e-mail correspondence. I will be moving to Leavenworth, Kansas here at the beginning of the New Year and would like to offer my services (and Harley) to you guys in the area and would love to go on a couple rides with you! I would consider it an HONOR!

Dear American Legion Riders,

I am a proud mother from Chase, KS, of a United States Marine, Lcpl. Brian A. who is stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. I just heard the article on the radio this morning of the funeral of Cpl. Lucas Franz. ( I am sorry if I spelled his last name wrong.) I sat in my truck and listened to the whole interview with the family and with a representative of your group who attended his funeral and I cried. I cried for his sacrifice, for his wife, and for his family and the community and I also cried for your group who was their to make it easier for the family. I couldn't leave my truck until I heard the whole story. I thank you as a United States citizen and as a military mom for what you are doing for military families who have lost their soldier.

Our son Lcpl. Brian A. getting ready to go back to Iraq in February. He served his first tour in Iraq from August 2004 to March 2005. I ask that you keep him in your prayers when February gets here.

Keep doing what you are doing and God Bless you All.

A Proud Marine Mom,
Dorothy A.

To my brothers and sisters of the ALR and all the others who participated in this action: You exemplify what we, as the ALR, are all about! THANK YOU!
